Throughout the rich history of Thailand, dating back to the era of Ayutthaya, the Japanese and Siamese have enjoyed a deep connection in both trade and diplomacy. This bond was so strong that a Japanese village was established to accommodate expatriates. During times of conflict, One notable samurai, Yamada Nagamasa, became a prominent figure in Thai history. He rose to the upper echelons of Siam’s military ranks while also leading the Japanese community. This storied relationship between Thailand and Japan has served as a source of inspiration for me, and I have carefully crafted a product that harmoniously blends Thai and Japanese elements in its formulation.
Introducing “Tipakorn,” a name symbolizing the “Sun” and representing Japan, whose Kanji characters translate to “The Origin of the Sun.” At the heart of this perfume is Tobacco Absolute, representing the Japanese people of that era, combined with Mate Absolute, a plant with a scent similar to Matcha tea, to symbolize the Samurai and reflecting tranquility and pride, as well as courage. Additionally, I have chosen to use Yuzu, a native Japanese fruit, to help make the fragrance brighter and more vibrant. Together, these carefully selected ingredients pay homage to the “Samurai of Ayutthaya”, the valiant soldiers who once fought alongside the Siamese, forging a shared history between these two proud nations.
