Homa

Homa (हवन), s a Sanskrit term that refers to a sacred fire ritual in Hinduism. It is a ceremony where a fire is kindled and consecrated, and offerings such as ghee, fragrant herbs, or grains are made into the flames. The smoke produced during the Homa is believed to carry healing energy and purify the atmosphere.

Fire is considered sacred in many spiritual traditions and is one of the five essential elements in Hindu philosophy, along with water, earth, air, and space. In Vedic scriptures, fire, known as Agni, is considered the messenger between people and the gods and is personified as the sacrificial fire.

It is believed that everything offered into the sacred fire, Agni, reaches the gods.
