During his lengthy reign, innovations in the arts were fostered, too, and with the Sultan even participating first hand.

Suleiman the Magnificent found time to be both poet and goldsmith. Renowned and revered in equal measure, the legend of his rule spread far and wide. The famous Chronicles tell of his passion for fragrance, and in partiular the aromas of the oud, musk, ambergris, sandalwood and rose.
